Our group focus on achieving various functionalities in opto-electronics via nanostructure engineering as well as emerging materials to develop state-of-the-art devices with unprecedented performance or unique properties. We collaborate with material experts and application specialists and work actively at two interfaces: material-device and device-application. We identify the practical problems in real applications such as biomedical sensing, advanced imaging technologies, energy, communication, and seek game-changing solutions at the system level.
Current research activities in our group span over four levels: fabrication techniques, nanostructure engineering, device implementation and applications.
